I Used To Be Little, But Now I'm Going To School!

So Marshall started Kindergarten today! We got up and got him ready and then took a whole bunch of pictures and even some with Karson (his best friend that lives across the street). He was so excited, he was going somewhere without his Mom. When we pulled into the school there were kids and parents everywhere. I went around to get him out and asked him if he wanted me to wait with him. My next door neighbor happened to be one of the aides helping and she asked me who his teacher was and told me she would make sure he got to class. So I got back in my jeep and went home. I was so nervous with a lot of things going through my head, I mean I just left him there, what kind of mom doesn't walk their kid to his class. What if he hates it and never wants to go to school again. I didn't cry, I'm not saying I didn't want to but I didn't. Then I thought about last night when his Dad gave him a Father's blessing and I remember what Mike had said and I knew that everything would be fine and that he would be alright. I am so grateful that I have the Priesthood in my home so that Mike can give our boys blessings. He gave Marshall his blessing and then Patrick jumped up in the chair because he needed one too. Patrick was so cute he thought that he was going to school with Marshall and really couldn't understand why he had to stay home with Mom. Marshall had a great day and is excited to go again tomorrow. Hopefully he will have this attitude forever.

So cute! It's just weird to think of them having a life away from you that you have no control over isn't it!! I want to keep them home with me forever...but the break from them isn't too bad either. LOL

What a great post! I can't believe we are old enough to have kids in school. WOW Crazy. I agree with you about getting together soon. We will have to plan something and make it happen.
