Mike and I drew out for the archery deer hunt down on the Paunsaugunt Plateau. Mike was really excited I was not so excited for one thing I had never shot a bow in my life. So we went and got me a bow and Mike taught me how to shoot. It was a lot of fun and I could even hit the target most of the time. Anyways we went down for opening weekend and the only thing we saw a lot of was cows and doe s. I took a shot at one and missed. Mike didn’t even take his bow out all weekend; he wanted me to get a deer first. Mike went down the next time without me and he got a nice buck (which will be mounted on the wall). Then we went on the last weekend but I didn’t have any luck. That’s okay I had a lot of fun and it was gorgeous down there. I think I will continue to shoot my bow but I don’t really know if I will go hunting again.
